This week the Lakers played the New York Knicks. After beating the Knicks Sunday night, the Lakers record advanced to 29-11. The starters for the Lakers were Kobe Bryant, Pual Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Ron Artest, and Derek Fisher. Kobe Bryant was the leading scorer for the Lakers with 27 points. He also had 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Pual Gasol was the second high scorer with 20 points. Andrew Bynum scored 18 before being ejected. Ron Artest had 6 points, and Derek Fisher had five points. These starters scored 76 of the 109 points.
The Lakers have beaten the Knicks the past six games in a row and made it seven after defeating them 109 to 87 Sunday night. The Lakers are beginning to get their game together, as they are currently on a four game winning streak. This was a very physical game in which many hard fouls were committed. The Lakers and Knicks are pretty big rivals which lead to many fights during the game. One fight ended with Andrew Bynum being ejected from the game.
Sounds like a pretty intense game. Was it home or away?
